If I do have a car, where will I park, and how much will it cost?

When you register, please indicate whether or not you will be bringing a car to campus. The parking permit that you are issued at registration will cost $40 and will be based on your dormitory assignment. Please park only in your assigned lot. Please note that ASV 2008 will not be responsible for any parking violations you may incur.

Where is the registration area?

Registration will take place in Robert Purcell Community Center. If you are arriving Friday before 5 pm, campus parking will be limited to the spaces adjacent to RPCC. After 5 pm on Friday and on Saturday and Sunday, you may park in the lot adjacent to RPCC, CC lot or A lot. Because the number of spaces outside of RPCC are extremely limited, we ask that you move your car to your assigned lot as soon as you are finished to make room for other people who are registering.

I am staying off campus. Should I drive to campus every day?

We would like to discourage people from bringing cars to campus because parking is limited, particularly on central campus. ASV will be running regular shuttle buses between hotels and meeting events in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Shuttle buses will run on campus throughout the day, in addition to the standard public transportation that serves Cornell and Ithaca.

Is there handicapped parking on campus, and where is it located?

There are handicap parking spaces outside of all of the buildings on campus. Please visit the following url for more information. Special parking permits are needed to use these spaces.
